Concorde Textiles leads the way in being a socially and environmentally responsible organization by giving back to its employees and the greater society, and by focussing on sustainable practices througout its production processes.
Waste Management
Concorde Textiles has achieved “Zero Discharge” and exceeds all requirements of the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board. Of the 300,000 Litres of Water used per day for towel processing, the entire effluent water is treated in our state-of-the-art onsite Reverse Osmosis System with Mechanical evaporators and 98% of water is reused.
Treated sewage water is also reused for running our chillers, for sanitary uses, and landscaping. An in-house lab and 24/7 monitoring tests the level of effluents and ensures complete waste management.
Renewable Energy
Concorde Textiles meets 100% of its energy needs through innovative use of renewable energy sources. A complete solar rooftop installation of 200KWP at our plant, along with 650 KVA of our captive windmill generation ensures we meet our energy requirement sustainably and negate any impact on the environment. In keeping with our constant innovation, Concorde Textiles is always looking to improve efficiency and increase sustainability in our production process.
Education
Concorde Textiles believes that our employees are our greatest asset, and education is a crucial tool for improving social welfare. It is our endeavour to educate children of our employees and the society-at-large, which is done from our scholarships fund that fully pays for school and college fees for deserving students during the entire period of their education depending upon their needs.
We also run a full-time creche at the factory to care for infants of our employees during work hours.
Healthcare
Concorde Textiles has set up and operates the M Ebrahim Musvee Md. Musa Sait Trust Hospital, a charitable hospital that attends to 60 patients per day at no cost for treatment and medication.
We have a long-standing tie up with the renowned Rajan Eye Care Hospital since 1998, through which necessary eyesight and cataract operations are done. Apart from these, we have regular medical camps and Opthalmologist camps at our factory to ensure the well being of our employees.
